Suckley, Worcestershire – New café & post office
Design & Build
Project Overview
Kree8 were asked by the owners of Suckley post office and stores to design a new extension for a café and post office area. The idea was to enhance the current grocery stores and post office to accommodate more customers and provide a café space which would allow locals and walkers to enjoy a rest and a bite to eat within the village.
Our Solution
Kree8 designed the extension & re-modelling of the interior to provide a space which allowed for a flexible café area and new post office facilities. This included presenting the project with 3D visualisation to the clients.
The internal and external appearance was enhanced whilst being sympathetic to the surrounding properties by using a traditional timber clad exterior. The larch timber cladding injected a rustic charm feel, reclaimed roof tiles ensured a coherent traditional appearance. The use of a bifold glazed door system linked the inside with the outside giving café customers the opportunity to have a coffee outside, whilst rooflights ensured the interior filled with light.
The Result
A functional café area for potential customers to relax in. Also better post office facilities.
